With the help of @themongrels.og their valued members and supporters as well as members of @the_cfdda and friends of the community of dogs on Instagram we were able to privately make this mission possible. Granny was the only one who did not find a suitable adopter due to her age and the apparent health issues. Her story is mostly unknown as with many rescue dogs but we were told that at some point she had been poisoned. She was barely able to walk properly which is related to arthritis as well. Now we are fundraising to finance her long overdue dental 🦷 because the bad teeth could also impact a recovery. She is located at a sanctuary farm in Germany and has adjusted well to her new environment even protecting the facility with her barks. We can see the will to live in her as she would love to play more with balls but her teeth are so bad that it is only on short term. I was looking for a happier update on @osca1907 but today we received the most devastating news 📰 after everything he has been through with Oscar having small birth defects, living with only one kidney and being the support for his human, whilst being in a bunker in #ukraine for 45 days the stress and finally arriving in Germany after an ordeal of travel with the support of our community and valued @themongrels.og as well as fundraisers hosted by @king_arthur_the_pooshihkingese and @roundtablemutts with @mainstreetpup and the support of @cinnamon_and_sammy and many more who made all this possible and all the Furiends and their families who fevered for them. After settling in a beautiful small apartment and the officials messing up everything with their bureaucracy. After 4 months and his human having to go to a refugee facility, Oscar had to be fostered in an animal shelter he was separated from his human while his status is determined. Oscar was at the vet diagnosed with a tumor and had water in his body that was supposed to be drained today. Unfortunately Oscar was so stressed that he did not survive the procedure. We are heartbroken 💔 and beyond devastated 😭😭😭 as Humom called the shelter after office hours we do not have more detailed information yet but we will find out more hopefully in the morning. We can’t express our condolences and sadness as we choke typing this. We are utterly disappointed in #thesystem and feel with Oscars human 😭🙏💔🌈

I was curious 🤨 and asked if they had a #waitinglist which I think 🤔 is a fair question to ask. I ass u me that’s a good idea. The response was quite revealing, 🙄please swipe on to see and that #bulliebreeder has nothing to do with the recent events happening in #victorvillecalifornia where @istandwithmypack has seized 60-90 #americanbullies from a breeder! Now these dogs are in need of #fosterhomes on top of all the other thousands sitting in #shelters #killshelters and #highkillehelters throughout the world. Only because #breeders #puppymills and #backyardbreeders keep doing what they do for profit! It’s #memorialdayweekend and I must say this is a tough one for me due to the most recent events in #uvaldetexasschoolshooting and the #buffaloshooting the week prior. We tried very hard to get it through , Humom was up every 2 hours last night 😔🌈 at 3:30 am it pooped a little and was fed again it seemed tired though at 5:30 am it was lifeless unfortunately 🥺🙏 we assume it had been abandoned yesterday by it’s mom because it’s been sick perhaps we had high hopes it would have a chance but nature took it’s turn. As we continue doing our best to support the #refugeepetsofukraine our #mongrelmissionpossible is about to end with the 2nd fundraiser on May 11th undoubtedly @themongrels.og #missionpossible 1 and 2 were a success that we never expected to happen on such a small scale with the help of our community friends and followers. It’s been a huge financial assistance from all who took part and a huge timely and logistical effort on our end including #stress and #sleeplessnights but the outcome is #lifechanging in many ways. As the war is not over we have to also attend personal matters since this has been a solely private effort. Yesterday Humom took me to visit the #mongrelmissionpossible #rescuepups and #shelterpets who are #refugeepetsofukraine Humom picked them up last weekend with the help and support of our amazing community and funds raised via @themongrels.og supported by @mainstreetpup @mary_garr @zaney_beaner_the_wiener and everyone who donated to allow the #freedomride of 4 cats and 4 dogs Marian and Leia were adopted so were the 4 cats Yet we don’t understand that Mickey hasn’t found his human yet. He is a cool 1 year old boy very attentive and loving, smart and handsome. #germany🇩🇪 Sie ist erst 8 Jahre alt aber der Name Granny ist aufgrund ihrer Umstände sehr passend. Sie leidet unter Arthrose und obwohl sie läuft ist sie sehr langsam unterwegs. Bei der Übergabe in Polen wurde uns mitgeteilt das sie eventuelle Nierenprobleme haben kann. Das wird momentan untersucht. Wir suchen eine Langzeitpflegestelle oder einen Adoptanten für Granny. Am besten ein zu Hause das ebenerdig ist mit Garten denn Granny wiegt ca 20 kg und Treppen sind für sie keine Option. Sie ist super lieb und will nur auf ihre alten Tage die Liebe erfahren die ihr so lange vorenthalten wurde. Sie kuschelt gerne und ist mit Katzen verträglich.
